I have 2 brothers that I fostered for the shelter and couldn't bear to part with them. I write a lot of poetry about them. Almost finished with Catnip Capers The Adventures of Dillard and Dabney McFurperson. Dabney is still scared even after 2 years. But I give him a safe place to live and good food and clean water. Once in awhile now he lets me rub his belly. Dillard is the exact opposite. My mom has a rescue named Buddi and a stray named Clyde we now have in the house.
